Greetings all! I just wanted to share that I changed my blog host and therefore the look of the blog site (will be working to improve it over the next month or so).   I hope you like it! I am also going to be  transferring my previous entries over to my new sight.   Once this is done I will start entering new posts.   I haven’t written anything for a while due to a heavy work load but I am excited to start again.   So sorry for the hiatus in entries and hoping you become a regular reader.

My name is Jamie Metzler and I am a psychotherapist offering individual and family therapy.  I provide services through my private practice, Harbor Counseling, LLC, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland.  I am a Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C).  I received my Masters in Social Work at Western Michigan University and have over 17 years experience working in the mental health field in a broad range of settings.  These settings include outpatient community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment programs.  Though I specialize in individual therapy with adults and adolescents for anxiety, trauma, depression and stress, I also have experience in family and couples therapy as well as work with dissociation, grief and loss, anger, addictions, performance enhancement, emotional issues around money, and many others.
